Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between psychotherapy and coaching?

While both psychotherapy and coaching aim to support personal growth and change, they focus on different areas and use different approaches.

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that helps you explore emotional difficulties, patterns of thinking and behaviour, past experiences, and mental health challenges. It often involves working through deeper issues like anxiety, low mood, trauma, or relationship problems, and it offers a safe, confidential space to understand and heal.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more goal-focused and future-oriented. It supports you in making changes, building confidence, or achieving specific personal or professional goals. Coaching doesn’t typically explore the past in depth but instead focuses on mindset, motivation, and action.

I offer both services and sometimes integrate them, depending on your needs. We’ll work together to find the approach that feels right for you.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people benefit from just a few sessions focused on a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term work to explore deeper patterns or experiences. We can discuss this openly as we work together, and there’s no commitment — you're welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as you feel are helpful. We’ll regularly check in to review your progress and make sure the work continues to feel useful for you.

What are the benefits of Life Coaching?

Life coaching can help people to transform their lives through deep self discovery, awareness, and the commitment to change. This will look different to each individual, whether that means improving your confidence, finding your inner creativity, or setting and reaching your goals.

What’s your availability and how do I book a session?

I currently offer online sessions during daytime and evening hours throughout the week. To book a session or make an enquiry, you can contact me via email, use the contact form, or book directly through my website. Once you've booked a session, I will reach out to you via email to arrange a day and time that works for you.
